(Patriot.Buzz) – Reversing the Biden-Harris administration’s woke attempts to soften immigration discourse, President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team is set to reinstate the term “illegal alien” in official government language.
This decision underscores Trump’s commitment to enforcing immigration laws and protecting American citizens from the ongoing invasion at the southern borders.
The Biden administration, in its misguided attempt to appease progressives, replaced “illegal alien” with softer terms like “noncitizen” and “migrant” in April 2021.
This change was part of a broader effort by Democrats to use less “derogatory” language, effectively sugar-coating the reality of illegal immigration.
John Fabbricatore, a potential candidate to lead Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) under Trump, strongly supports the return to using “illegal aliens.”
“What is wrong with illegal alien? It connotes no race, religion, or culture. It is a purely legal term that was hijacked in an Orwellian attempt to control the messaging about illegal immigration,” he claimed.
While leftist lawmakers have introduced legislation to prohibit the use of “alien” in federal language, it has thankfully failed to gain traction in Congress.
This failure demonstrates that most Americans reject the attempt to obscure the illegal nature of unauthorized border crossings.
Even some Democrats recognized the importance of maintaining accurate legal terminology. Representative Henry Cuellar (D-TX), stated, “I can understand some people are trying to be a little bit more politically correct, but if you look at what the statutes say, they do use the word ‘alien.’”
“That’s what the statute does, so, until the statute changes, some of us will continue to be using the word ‘alien’ on that. That is the word that’s in the statute until we change that,” he added.
In addition, Trump’s decision to reinstate the term “illegal alien” is more than just a change in vocabulary. It represents a return to the rule of law and a commitment to protecting American citizens from the dangers of unchecked illegal immigration.
