President Joe Biden wished Vice President Kamala Harris a happy birthday on Monday (October 24), referring to her as a “great Vice President” the latest slip-ups in a series of eyebrow-raising gaffes.

Acknowledging Harris’s birthday was on Thursday (October 20), Biden extended his good wishes, “Happy Birthday to a great president, we know your mom is always with you” during the White House’s Diwali celebration.

The President also joked that Harris, who is 58, had “turned 30.”

But Biden referring to Harris as the President is nothing new. On two separate occasions before Monday, the President called Harris “President.”

In January 2021, during a speech on voting rights, Biden called Harris “President Harris.”

He repeated the gaffe 11 months later in December 2021, calling the Vice President “President Harris” during remarks in South Carolina.

The President has also called Harris “First Lady,” a mistake he made in March of this year while talking to reporters.

Biden mistakenly said, “We’ve had a little rearrangement of who’s on the stage because of the first lady’s husband contracting COVID.”

The President was referring to Doug Emhoff, Harris’s husband, who had contracted COVID-19.

His gaffes have also been macabre. Recently, the President attempted to call out a deceased lawmaker.

“Jackie, are you here? Where’s Jackie? She must not be here,” the President said, referring to the late Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.), who had died in a car crash.

The White House defended the President’s mistake, saying he misspoke. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Walorski was “top of mind” for Biden, which is why he called her out.
