Following Tuesday’s State of the Union addresses the Democrats are pressing President Joe Biden into launching his reelection campaign. Democrats are arguing that the speech had been the perfect opportunity to contrast the achievements of the administration vs. the division in the GOP, which has so far not led to the creation of a “winning message” or even a candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
Biden is set to now hit the road in order to further tout his administration’s successes. Biden is also allegedly using these events to provide a preview of his reelection campaign. According to the latest reports, Biden is planning on launching his presidential campaign soon.
Democratic strategists and party insiders have now argued that he should seize the advantage given to him by the State of the Union address and he should launch his reelection campaign immediately. They have also argued that this would be a good time for Biden to move quickly as the GOP has not quite settled on a winning strategy for gaining back the White House.
Tad Devine, a longtime Democratic strategist, has said that this was a good time to “move as quickly as possible.” He has also argued that the strong job numbers, declining inflation rates, and control over the COVID-19 pandemic would all make the timing for launching a campaign right. He continued by saying that he did not believe Biden could be easily beaten unless something tremendous happened to affect him or his health.
