Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley recently took a swipe at President Biden and suggested that all America politicians be given cognitive tests after they reach a certain age to ensure that they will be able to perform their duties to the best of their abilities.
According to the Washington Examiner, Haley insisted that older lawmakers needed to provide proof that they were cognitively capable of handling their task and duties to the American people. She added that these types of tests would ease the minds of Americans who were concerned about the country. Haley did not go into details about how old lawmakers should be before being forced to take cognitive examinations.
“We seriously need to have a conversation that if you’re going to have anyone above a certain age in a position of power — whether it’s the House, whether it’s the Senate, whether it’s vice president, whether it’s president — you should have some sort of cognitive test,” Haley told the Christian Broadcasting Networking. She then explained it would be similar to politicians having to show their tax returns, they should also show the American people their health screenings as well.
