(Patriot.Buzz) – Highlighting the Democratic Party’s deliberate giveaway of America to illegal aliens, the Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee unveiled a bombshell figure during the initial impeachment hearing against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
In his capacity as the Chairman, Representative Mark Green (R-TN) gave critical opening statements shedding light on Mayorkas’s key role in the Catch and Release program, where an estimated 85% of illegal aliens are processed briefly by the DHS before being released into U.S. communities.
Green highlighted the extensive scale of this program, stating:
“All told, DHS numbers indicate that well over three million inadmissible aliens have been released into our country on Secretary Mayorkas’s watch. Factor in the 1.8 million known gotaways, and that’s roughly the population of the state of South Carolina.”
Green’s revelation means that the number of illegal aliens released from 2021 through 2023 under Mayorkas’ oversight surpasses the total annual birth rate in the United States, which is less than four million.
Most of these illegal individuals are granted parole, which enables them to obtain work permits and compete for jobs in the U.S. This situation translates into suppressed wages due to an inflated labor market and increased housing demand.
Green also compared the current situation under Mayorkas with the Obama administration’s approach to detaining illegal aliens at the southern border, stating:
“In Fiscal Year 2013, according to [the] DHS’s own numbers, the Obama administration detained 82% of illegal aliens from the moment they were encountered until their case was decided, and another 9% were held for at least some portion of that time.
In Secretary Mayorkas’ first year on the job, that 82% number dropped to just 10%. Illegal aliens not detained at all jumped from 9% in FY 2013 to 64% in FY 2021. In a court opinion earlier this year, federal judge Kent Wetherell wrote, ‘The evidence establishes that in late January or early February of 2021, [the] DHS made a discrete change in detention policy from release only if there is a compelling reason to, to release unless there is a compelling reason not to.’”
Mayorkas’s recent visit to the U.S.-Mexico border included a plea to Congress to approve Joe Biden’s proposed billions in supplemental funding. This funding is intended to facilitate the transportation of more border crossers and illegal aliens into the interior of the country.
