(Patriot.Buzz) – After falling from grace over damning workplace allegations, not even liberals are sad about the fact that Ellen DeGeneres decided to leave the United States for Great Britain.

Right after selling her huge Montecito estate, DeGeneres claimed she was “never coming back.”

Both DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi have settled in the Cotswolds region in England, saying goodbye to life in the U.S.

The move seems permanent and could be a reaction to recent political developments like President-elect Donald Trump’s massive election victory over Kamala Harris.

The couple’s financial history in the U.S. is extensive. DeGeneres and de Rossi have owned or flipped at least 21 properties in Montecito, Santa Barbara County.

Since 2006, they have spent an estimated $350 million on Santa Barbara-area properties. The sell-off of their Montecito estate marks the end of an era for them in the U.S.

DeGeneres recently returned to comedy to address past toxic workplace allegations that took place during her show’s final seasons.

Although she said the claims allegedly impacted her self-esteem and public image, they did not stop her from attempting a comeback.

Her Netflix comedy special “For Your Approval” tries to put a humorous spin on these controversies.

With a net worth of $370 million and an extensive property portfolio, DeGeneres’s move has been seen as an attempt to start fresh rather than an escape.

She and de Rossi were spotted enjoying live music at Jeremy Clarkson’s pub “The Farmer’s Dog,” putting a show of their newfound love for their rural lifestyle.

The couple have allegedly embraced hobbies like gardening and raising chickens in their Cotswolds home.
