Court STOPS Biden/Harris AMNESTY Order

(Patriot.Buzz) – Shooting down the Biden-Harris administration’s unashamed effort to swell up their voter base, a Texas federal court has put a hold on an executive order that could give many illegal aliens amnesty and a chance at gaining U.S. citizenship.

According to court records, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas halted a White House initiative launched earlier this year to protect illegals married to U.S. citizens from deportation and offer other benefits.

This pause came shortly after several GOP-dominated states challenged the Biden-Harris administration’s policy by seeking a temporary restraining order.

“This is a huge victory in our courtroom battle to block the Biden-Harris executive fiat giving over 1 million illegal aliens a path to U.S. citizenship,” said America First Legal president Stephen Miller in a press release.

“That executive decree is now frozen,” he added. “America First Legal is deeply honored to partner with Attorney General Paxton, Attorney General Labrador, along with 14 other states to fight this unconstitutional mass amnesty.”

In June, Joe Biden announced the order during a White House celebration marking the 12th anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

The order aims to protect illegals from deportation and offer work permits and legal status to those married to American citizens. The White House estimates that this could benefit up to half a million people.

To qualify for this program, illegals must prove they are legally married to a U.S. citizen, have lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years and must get approval from the Department of Homeland Security, which reviews applications individually.

The administration is using a policy known as “parole-in-place” to implement the order.

This policy is designed to bypass certain legal barriers that typically prevent noncitizen spouses who entered the U.S. illegally from obtaining green cards without first leaving the country.

Led by America First Legal, Texas and Idaho, a group of 16 states filed a lawsuit last Friday.

They claimed the program was unconstitutional and requested a temporary restraining order.

“Under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the federal government is actively working to turn the United States into a nation without borders and a country without laws,” declared Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. “I will not let this happen.”
