She’s not leaving!
After countless attacks on Senator Kyrsten Sinema, the Arizona Democrat has shot down any and and all rumors that she will be leaving her party. Sen. Sinema made her argument by claiming that both Democrats and Republicans should provide the opportunity for “internal disagreements” without trying to force party members out.
According to the Washington Examiner, Senator Sinema has been under fire recently over her objection to President Joe Biden’s sweeping social spending legislation. Progressive Democrats, Such as Ocasio-Cortez, who appear to be controlling their party at the moment, are very upset with Sinema and want her out of the Democratic Party. Sinema recently told Politico, that’s not happeneing.
“No. Why would I do that?” Sinema bluntly asked.
Senator Sinema along with Senator Joe Manchin recently have reduced President Biden’s Build Back Better proposal by trillions because they strongly believe the amount being spent is simply too much. Currently the Senate is evenly divided 50-50 with Vice President Kamala Harris’s vote giving Democrats the win. However, with Sinema and Manchin not agreeing to massive spending plans, they have the party in disarray.
Sinema has called on both Republicans and Democrats to allow diversity within their party and believes disagreements are perfectly healthy. “I’ve been concerned at the push that happens in both parties, this push to have no disagreements. To only have unity or to only speak with one voice. And some will say, ‘Oh, that is our strength’. Having some disagreement is normal. It is real, it is human. And it’s an opportunity for us as mature beings to work through it,” Sinema said.
Videos have recently gone viral of liberal Americans pressuring Sen. Sinema to “give in” and allow her party to pass trillion of dollars worth of spending. In one Video Sen. Sinema was actually chased into a bathroom stall where she had to barricade herself from angry liberals.
