Denny’s SURCHARGE – Customers Must Pay MORE?

Hands holding stack of one hundred dollar bills

(Patriot.Buzz) – As shocking egg crisis prices soar to unprecedented levels, Americans must pay more and beloved diner chain Denny’s is forced to implement a temporary surcharge on egg-based meals.

This latest development in the ongoing national egg shortage highlights the devastating impact of government mismanagement and foreign threats on the food supply, which is leaving families scrambling to afford basic necessities.

The egg shortage, primarily caused by a widespread outbreak of bird flu, has decimated poultry populations across the country.

Since 2022, over 140 million egg-laying birds have been wiped out, leading to skyrocketing prices that have more than doubled in some areas.

The average cost of a dozen eggs has now exceeded $7, with some regions seeing prices as high as $8 per dozen.

Denny’s, a staple of American dining, has been forced to take drastic measures to cope with the crisis.

The restaurant chain announced:

“Some of our restaurant locations will need to temporarily add a surcharge to every meal that includes eggs. This pricing decision is market-by-market, and restaurant-by-restaurant due to the regional impacts of the egg shortage.”

The situation has become so dire that even President Trump has called for action, stating, “Do something with the eggs, cause I’m hearing so much about eggs.”

Dr. J.J. Goicoechea, Director of the Nevada Department of Agriculture, stated, “Eggs are typically the most cost-effective protein source for food insecure populations.”

“When families can’t find eggs on the shelf, and when they do the prices are not attainable, this can leave them without an essential food they depend on,” he added.

Moreover, the egg shortage has led to a surge in backyard chicken-keeping, with 11 million U.S. households now raising chickens as a means of self-sufficiency.

Meanwhile, the previous administration’s incompetence has allowed the situation to spiral out of control.

Major retailers like Costco and Trader Joe’s have been forced to limit egg purchases, while U.S. Customs and Border Protection has stopped over 90 people from smuggling eggs from Mexico.

In addition, the U.S. Department of Agriculture projects that egg prices could rise another 20% this year.

This continuous increase in food costs is yet another blow to American families already struggling under the weight of Biden’s past inflationary policies.

As the egg crisis continues to unfold, it serves as a stark reminder of the importance of food security and the need for strong leadership to protect American interests.
