Desperate Democrats Ditch Biden

They want to keep their jobs!

Ahead of a tenuous midterm election, Moderate Democrats are undercutting the Biden administration’s carefully crafted messaging that the reason the administration was holding onto Title 42 had everything to do with public health and nothing to do with border management.

An announcement by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) revealed that the CDC will rescind the order that prevents migrants from seeking asylum on May 23, given the country is moving toward mitigating the effects of COVID-19.

Despite the move signaling the U.S. has made considerable strides in its fight against COVID-19, moderate Democrats are fuming that the administration made the decision ahead of the midterm elections.

Since the announcement, Moderates in the Democratic caucus are expressing concern that chaos will erupt at the border, statements that mirror the GOP stance on the matter.

Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said it was a “frightening decision,” Senator Mark Kelly labeled the decision “wrong.”

But the most scathing remarks came from Senator Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.), saying the Biden administration “does not appear to be ready” for the possible increase in migration that could occur after Title 42 ends.

Hassan made remarks even before the administration’s announcement Title 42 will end, expressing concern “that there is not a sufficient plan in place to address the steep increase in border crossings that could result from this reported decision.”
