Elon Musk to the Rescue

(Patriot.Buzz) – In a massive effort to keep communities connected and informed, Elon Musk’s SpaceX is stepping up to provide free Starlink internet in fire-ravaged Los Angeles.

As wildfires continue to devastate the area, over 100,000 people have been displaced and communication networks are in shambles.

Musk’s swift action clearly contrasts Governor Gavin Newsom’s inability to prevent and manage these disasters effectively.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk announced on social media that his company would distribute free Starlink terminals to affected areas in Los Angeles starting today.

This move comes in response to the critical role Starlink has already played in maintaining communication during the ongoing crisis.

Musk did not mince words when addressing the root cause of these recurring tragedies.

“These fires are easily avoidable, but nonsense regulations in California prevent action being taken, so year after year homes burn down and more people die,” he stated.

Musk pointed directly at the state’s misguided environmental policies that hinder proper brush clearing near homes.

The wildfires raging across Los Angeles have claimed at least 10 lives, forced over 100,000 people to evacuate and destroyed up to 1,500 buildings.

The Palisades fire, which covered 17,234 acres, has become the most destructive in LA’s history.

These devastating fires, exacerbated by Santa Ana winds with gusts up to 60 mph, have exposed the vulnerability of traditional communication infrastructure.

CALFIRE underscored the severity of the situation, stating:

“Extreme fire behavior, including short and long-range spotting, continues to challenge firefighting efforts for the Palisades Fire. Winds gusts up to 60 mph are expected to continue through Thursday, potentially aiding in further fire activity and suppression efforts.”

“The only reason you’re able to see us right now is because of Starlink. There’s absolutely no cell service at all in this whole area,” reported a journalist covering the disaster.

Starlink’s satellite constellation, which provides broadband internet access, has proven necessary in emergencies.

Unlike terrestrial networks, Starlink’s system remains largely unaffected by ground-level destruction, ensuring connectivity when it is needed most.

This initiative marks the second time in six months that Starlink has been deployed for disaster relief. The first time came after Hurricane Helene devastated communities.

As California grapples with these recurring disasters, Musk’s criticism of the state’s regulations has reignited debates about environmental policies and their consequences.
