Republicans aren’t going to be happy with him about this…
In a recent interview with CNBC, Republican Senator sparks outrage from many in the Republican Party when he demanded House Republicans to support President Biden’s $1.5 trillion infrastructure bill.
According to Breitbart, Cassidy claimed to be “incredibly frustrated” with his fellow Republicans for not supporting the bill because he believes it would be a great decision for the U.S. and will create a lot of new jobs. He also told the GOP that if Republicans did support the bill, it would stop the Democrats from tying the infrastructure package to the $3.5 trillion reconciliation package together.
Cassidy explained that the $1.5 trillion infrastructure bill was great regardless of what party you were in. “It does seem like politics are trumping the needs of the American people. So, if we can pass this, it’s going to be great for our country, create a lot of jobs. And by the way, just to make the distinction, this is not the reconciliation bill — $3.5 trillion. This is the money for infrastructure,” Cassidy explained.
Republicans are extremely unhappy with Cassidy’s decision to support the infrastructure bill and are accusing him of being a RINO. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has firmly come out and said that the GOP will not support any of these spending bills promoted by Biden and they Democrats will have to do it all by themselves if they want to.
