(Patriot.Buzz) – With a strong majority favoring more effective security measures, recent polls indicate Americans are deeply dissatisfied with the Biden-Harris administration’s handling of border and immigration issues.
Multiple surveys have highlighted that Americans are largely critical of Vice President Kamala Harris’s performance as the “border czar.”
According to a poll by Napolitan News Service, an outstanding 75% of participants support the deployment of U.S. troops to combat drug cartels and enhance border security.
“That’s up significantly since President Biden took office and the total includes 90% of Republicans and 62% of Democrats,” reported Napolitan News Service.
Nearly two-thirds of poll respondents consider the border situation an “invasion,” underlining the severity of public concern.
Further emphasizing the call for stronger border control, another Napolitan poll found that 84% of registered voters see “illegal immigration as bad for the United States,” while only 12% view it positively. This sentiment has been consistent over the years.
The same poll noted a sharp divide in public opinion between legal and illegal immigration.
71% of voters support legal immigration and recognize its benefits, whereas illegal immigration is seen as harmful, particularly concerning its impacts on crime, the economy and public health.
RMG Research president Scott Rasmussen pointed out, “Overall, these numbers reflect the fact that voters see America as both a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws.”
“Voters understand why most immigrants want to bring their families to the land of opportunity. But they are angry at the federal government for allowing and encouraging illegal immigration,” he added.
A recent report by Monmouth University Polling Institute shows that more than 80% of those surveyed view illegal immigration as a “very serious (61%) or somewhat serious (23%) problem.”
According to the institute’s findings, this marks a peak in concern during the Biden-Harris administration compared to previous ones.
In Texas, a University of Texas/Texas Politics Project poll revealed that demographic groups including Hispanic and Black voters strongly support measures like building a wall and increasing resources for border security.
