(Patriot.Buzz) – Confirming what inside sources had long been saying, a humiliated Joe Biden has finally confessed that fellow Democrats pressured him to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race.

As revealed in a CBS News interview, Biden announced his decision to drop out from the race in a letter shared on X on July 21.
This came three weeks after a debate where he underperformed against 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
In the weeks leading up to his announcement, there were numerous discussions among senior Democrats about the potential negative impact of Biden’s candidacy on the party’s future.
These talks included figures like House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former President Barack Obama.
During the interview with CBS News’s chief election and campaign correspondent Robert Costa, Biden noted that polling data showed a tight race between him and Trump.
“Look, the polls we had showed that it was a neck-and-neck race. It would’ve been down to the wire,” Biden explained.
“But what happened was, a number of my Democratic colleagues in the House and the Senate thought that I was gonna hurt them in their races,” he said.
“And I was concerned if I stayed in the race, that would be the topic. You’d be interviewing me about why did Nancy Pelosi say, why did so and so… and I thought it’d be a real distraction,” Biden added.
Shortly before Biden’s withdrawal, Democrat Reps. Adam Schiff and Jaime Raskin, both Pelosi allies, publicly urged Biden to step down.
However, Pelosi denied orchestrating efforts for Biden to drop out during a “60 Minutes” interview, claiming she “did not call one person.”
An incident that influenced the dynamics of the pressure campaign was the assassination attempt against Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
After withdrawing, Biden immediately endorsed Kamala Harris as his replacement on the Democrat ticket for 2024.
Recent polls from The New York Times/Siena College indicate Harris is leading Trump in key battleground states like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
