Appearing on MSNBC, a Telemundo reporter rubbished claims that migrants taken to Martha’s Vineyard were upset with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for flying them to the Massachusetts island.

Since the arrival of migrants at Martha’s Vineyard, Democrats, including California Governor Gavin Newsom, have been crying foul. Newsom even sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, urging that DeSantis be investigated for kidnapping, claiming the Florida Governor lured the migrants to Martha’s Vineyard under false preferences.

Speaking to MSNBC anchor Jose Diaz-Balart, Telemundo reporter Cristina Londoño explained that despite migrants not knowing where Martha’s Vineyard was, some were very appreciative of the relocation.

She explained that “Some thought they had just landed in New York or somewhere. They didn’t know this was an island.”

Londoño added that the migrants reportedly received new clothes and cell phones and had been moved to an air base near Cape Cod, Massachusetts, where they’ll be able to speak to attorneys.

Londoño also described that some migrants thought they had been “brought to paradise.”

Londoño also approached the migrants, asking if they felt “hurt” by the relocation, to which one migrant responded, “not really.”

The migrant continued, “Instead of hurting us, they did us a favor, so I’m not complaining.”

The Telemundo reporter also cleared up rumors that the migrants were outraged by the move to Massachusetts, telling Diaz-Balart, “I can tell you they are not angry at Ron DeSantis. They are actually thanking him for having brought them to Martha’s Vineyard, where they were very well-received.”
