(Patriot.Buzz) – The extreme left has opened a window of opportunity for terrorists, as pro-Hamas groups in the United States are now openly advocating for an “intifada” in “every capital and city” globally, including Israel.
An intifada, which translates to “uprising” or “rebellion” in Arabic, has historically referred to two major Palestinian uprisings against Israeli control.
The Gaza Group released a statement demanding:
“Escalate protests to an open intifada in every capital and city in order to deprive the world of its heavy slumber that comes at the expense of the bodies and remains of those that survive; disrupt all facets of daily life until our people can breathe freely without the taint of the Israeli, American, and European war machine.”
This message has been spread by various groups including the Harvard Palestine Solidarity Committee, Princeton’s Students for Justice in Palestine, Penn Students Against the Occupation and Writers Against the War on Gaza.
The Gaza Group has also called for increased actions in “historic Palestine, from every checkpoint and street corner to the face of every settler and soldier.”
The group’s statement also urges:
“Raise the ceiling of the global solidary movement and immediately escalate all protest and pressure against Israel’s accomplices in the genocide, whether it is those who offer it a political and diplomatic cover for the occupation or those who supply it with a steady stream of military and financial support, as well as those engaging in cynical maneuvers that prolong the suffering of our people in Gaza.”
Several organizations have echoed this sentiment, with the National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) promising “a fire of revolution.”
They posted on social media that they “will not allow for the slaughter of our people to continue without erupting a fire of revolution.”
NSJP, the Answer Coalition, People’s Forum and Palestinian Youth Movement organized a protest outside the White House on June 8.
Within Our Lifetime (WOL), another group that supports Hamas’ terror attacks on October 7th in Israel, called for “autonomous action all day” in New York City.
These renewed calls for an intifada followed the Israeli Air Force’s targeted killing of two senior Hamas leaders in Rafah.
The U.S. is evaluating whether this airstrike crossed President Joe Biden’s stated “red line” in relation to Israel’s operations in Rafah. This comes after Hamas fired a volley of rockets from Rafah toward Israel, triggering alarms in Tel Aviv.
