Is Biden Done?

Biden needs a miracle.

On Wednesday (June 15), Fox News released a poll that shows voters are more likely to trust Republicans to crack down on critical issues like inflation and crime.

Participants were pessimistic about the economy’s conditions, with two-thirds revealing they believed the U.S. economy is in bad shape.

These figures point to the economic pressures many Americans endure while grappling with skyrocketing gas and grocery prices.

It’s with this harsh reality in focus that many voters are heading into the midterms, a frame of mind that could be detrimental to Democratic candidates.

Taking a closer look at the personal finances of each voter, the Fox News poll queried whether participants believed they were financially falling behind. 47 Percent of participants revealed they felt they were falling behind financially, a 20-point increase from last year when only 27 percent of voters felt the same.

Voters who believe they are holding steady have decreased by 14 points, from 56 percent last year June to only 42 percent.

Fox News’ figures also show that 82 percent of voters believe the economy is in negative territory, with 57 percent of those describing the economy as “poor.”

The poll, which took place from June 11 to June 13, also shows that when voters are queried about their overall view on the economy, 65 percent expressed they were pessimistic about the economy, an 18-point increase from June 2021.

This grim view on the economy may be most beneficial to Republican candidates as voters revealed that inflation would contribute the most to their vote for Congress. This, coupled with the majority of voters believing Republicans are more equipped to deal with inflation, could lead to a landslide victory for the GOP in this year’s midterm election.
