(Patriot.Buzz) – Donald Trump’s possible return to office has Democrats lashing out, as strategist James Carville lost it and flipped out when discussing the GOP presidential nominee.
During his show “James Carville Explains,” Carville revealed it infuriated him to see political commentators giving Trump suggestions on how to improve his messaging.
One such instance included pollster Frank Luntz, who noted that while Trump is ahead of Kamala Harris on critical issues for Americans, he should temper his “angry” style to secure a victory.
Carville hotly disagreed with the notion that Trump could or would adjust his messaging and emphasized that Trump’s inflammatory style is key to his political charm.
“What really gets to me, you hear this all the time, you know, ‘Trump doesn’t understand … if he just moderated … and wouldn’t say this crazy stuff,’ you don’t understand. That’s his appeal,” Carville explained.
“Without the racism and the misogyny, he has nothing! And he knows that. And he’s not going to listen to the campaign advisors that tell him to act sane or act normal or talk about pivoting to the middle, to talk about talking about the issues, because that’s not what the Republican Party is,” Carville claimed.
Carville continued, stressing that the current Republican message and its core voter base thrive on the controversial aspects of Trump’s rhetoric.
“That’s not who votes in the Republican primaries. That’s not who’s going to vote for them,” he said.
“And if they’d start taking the misogyny and the racism not being a central part of their message, they’ll lose even worse. These f***ing people have no idea what they’ve created, but I do,” he stated.
Back in July, Carville confessed to feeling “unbelievable pleasure in [Trump’s] misery.”
“I fantasize about how he’s throwing s*** at walls and ketchups and plates. And screaming at Don Jr. and screaming at everybody. It makes me feel so good. It’s a certain amount of peace that I get,” he shared at the time.
