She is such a hypocrite.
Following a visit to Thomas Elementary School in Washington D.C. on Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris was slammed by critics for appearing maskless in the group of masked children.
The visit, which was part of a tour Harris gave to highlight the Biden administration’s plans to upgrade public schools and make them more energy-efficient, was the latest instance where a Democratic politician appeared maskless in public, despite urging — and mandating — that others wear masks.
Taking to social media, critics blasted Harris. Some pointed out that her maskless appearance in front of masked children represented the kind of double-standards Americans would have to become accustomed to under Democratic leadership.
Republican National Committee rapid response director Tommy Pigot tweeted, “Kamala Harris walked up to the stage unmasked, meanwhile, all the children behind her are masked. This is the future Democrats want.”
He added, “In the Democrats’ anti-science dystopia, the only person who doesn’t need to wear a mask is Kamala Harris.”
Republican Senator Ted Cruz (Texas) blasted Harris for the blatant double-standard, quote-tweeting a post by RNC Research that included a picture of unmasked Harris standing in front of the masked group of children. In his tweet, Cruz stated, “Kamala Harris: Rules for thee but not for me.”
Tim Jones, the former Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives, used the scene as evidence that Democrats were a “fascist party.”
Former Trump advisor Stephen Miller tweeted, “So wrong on so many levels.”
Harris’s maskless appearance in front of a group of masked children follows Democrat Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams doing the same thing earlier this year.
After receiving fierce criticism, Abrams apologized but doubled down on her support for mask mandates.
