(Patriot.Buzz) – After overseeing the worst border crisis in American history, Kamala Harris has dropped an amnesty bombshell by vowing to allow millions of illegal aliens to become U.S. citizens through naturalization.
Her other plans in a hypothetical administration would also include introducing nationwide mail-in voting without restrictions.
Speaking at a rally in Glendale, Arizona, Harris said she was committed to a major overhaul of the immigration system and promised to address its current flaws with what she called “comprehensive reform.”
“We know our immigration system is broken and we know what it takes to fix it: comprehensive reform. That includes strong border security and an earned pathway to citizenship,” Harris stated.
Such reforms would significantly increase the number of legal workers in the U.S. labor market, making working and middle-class Americans compete for jobs.
Under the current administration, many new foreign workers have entered the American job market, displacing some native-born workers from their jobs.
Heritage Foundation economist E.J. Antoni highlighted this shift, saying, “What that essentially means is that all of the job growth we have seen [under Biden and Harris] has been going to foreign-born workers — a category…which the Bureau of Labor Statistics admits includes illegal aliens.”
In her speech, Harris also committed to pushing through the Freedom to Vote Act, which would implement universal no-excuse mail-in voting and allow the use of ballot drop boxes.
The proposed law would also make voter registration automatic, with the option to opt-out, typically using data from DMV records.
This method has led to errors, with nearly 400 non-citizen names appearing on voter rolls in Cook County, Illinois, since 2007.
Meanwhile, Democrat vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz has supported similar immigration reforms with a shared agenda that could shape their administration’s priorities.
In 2021, Walz urged Congressional leaders to include a clear path to citizenship for illegal aliens in budget discussions.
“As you work to finalize a budget reconciliation bill, we urge you to prioritize a clean pathway to citizenship for essential workers, Dreamers, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders, and their families,” Walz wrote in his letter to Congressional leaders.
However, Republican pushback stalled the progress of such a bill amid growing concerns over border security.
