(Patriot.Buzz) – A Democrat-run city erupted in gunfire as a dangerous killer left three dead and five others wounded in a house party and now he is on the run.

This tragic incident underscores the ongoing crisis of gun violence plaguing these cities, where citizens are left vulnerable to criminals emboldened by weak leadership and soft-on-crime policies.
The mass shooting occurred in the afternoon in Chicago’s southwest Chicago Lawn neighborhood, disrupting what should have been a peaceful social gathering.
Eight people, ranging in age from 20 to 35, fell victim to the gunfire that erupted in a house on the 3500 block of West 59th Street. The violence claimed the lives of three men, including a 26-year-old who was shot multiple times.
Among the injured, a 27-year-old woman was left fighting for her life with a gunshot wound to the head, while a 24-year-old woman suffered six gunshot wounds.
Three other victims – two men aged 31 and 25 and a 21-year-old woman – were reported to be in good condition.
Disturbingly, this house has a history of police visits and frequently hosts parties, raising questions about the local authorities’ failure to address potential trouble spots in the community.
A neighbor reported hearing at least ten gunshots and witnessed people fleeing the scene, painting a picture of chaos and terror that has become all too common in Chicago’s streets.
Neighbor recounted what he saw:
“I got home from work, and I seen a lot of people at the house—it was like over 20 people—and shortly after, I started hearing shots—very loud shots—maybe, I don’t know, I can’t recall how many. It seems like it was a party. There’s always people at that house partying.”
In a press conference, Chicago’s police Chief of Patrol Jon Hein stated, “We’re going to solve this crime and find the individuals that are responsible for this heinous, terrible incident.”
While Chief Hein promised to solve this crime, the fact remains that as of Tuesday morning, no updates were provided, and the shooter or shooters were still at large.
The timing of this tragedy, shortly after Thanksgiving, casts a dark shadow over the holiday season for the victims’ families and the entire community.
As investigators comb through evidence, including shell casings found in the basement, concerned citizens are left wondering how many more innocent lives must be lost before real action is taken.
