Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has justified his presence on former President Donald Trump’s leadership team in the battleground state of South Carolina.

On Saturday (January 28), the South Carolina Republican proved those who had criticized Trump’s appointment of him were wrong when he came out in support of Trump during a rally the former President gave on Saturday.

The rally aired on Newsmax, speaking fervently in support of the former President.

Graham made a fiery defense of Trump after he was introduced by the former President to give his remarks.

Graham asserted, “[Trump] did it once, he can do it again — isn’t that why we’re here?”

Graham was referencing a narrative that has taken root within the GOP, that Trump should be replaced by a candidate that holds his policies but doesn’t have as much political baggage.

He then queried how many of the audience had heard chatter about the GOP liking “Trump’s policies, but… want somebody new?”

Graham then made his most robust show of support for Trump, saying, “There are no Trump policies without Donald Trump.”

The South Carolina Republican then pointed to some of Trump’s international affairs, saying no one could get as much money from NATO as Trump had.

He added that Trump “did something about China,” causing the communist nation to “finally” pay.

He continued that Trump also got the go-ahead from Mexico because the former President “scared the hell out of them by taking on China.”

Graham then praised Trump for the development of the Abraham Accords because he “killed the terrorists that needed to be killed” and the former President “convinced the Arabs to work with the Israelis.”

According to Newsmax national correspondent Logan Ratick, Graham was heckled off-camera.
