You won’t believe what he said!

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) revealed that former President Donald Trump is likely to be the Republicans’ presidential nominee in 2024 if he wanted it, adding that Trump would win reelection if the former President ran a “disciplined campaign.”

Speaking to Fox News’ Hannity on Wednesday (December 29), the South Carolina Republican highlighted that the Republican base appreciated the former President, before adding that while Republican leadership didn’t “appreciate all the things he does sometimes,” the former President had been –– from a policy point of view –– the “most successful president” since Ronald Reagon.

Discussing what Trump’s strategy should be with Hannity guest host Pete Hegseth, Graham mentioned that Trump should highlight his achievements, which include securing the southern border with Mexico and destroying the Islamic State’s caliphate. Graham also mentioned that any Capitol Hill Republican with an election bid should discuss former President Trump’s achievements.

He then added that it was possible for Republicans to accomplish a “blowout year” in the upcoming midterms, only if they highlighted Trump’s “America first” messaging, which would also require the GOP to draw attention to the Democrats failures, which range from border security to energy independence. These issues, he believes, could be attributed to the Democrats consisting of a predominant radical left who had Biden “in a box,” preventing Biden from solving the border issues in addition to expanding the country’s energy independence.

The Senator also drew on historical data, saying that Republicans could gain control of the House in the 2022 midterms, saying that if Republicans played their “cards right,” they could exceed winning 73 seats in the Senate, something that last occurred in 1994.
