(Patriot.Buzz) – At the Democrat National Convention in Chicago, Michelle Obama quickly pulled out the race card to say GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s attacks against her and former President Barack Obama were racially motivated.
Known for her 2016 motto, “When they go low, we go high,” Michelle took a different tone this time, focusing on Trump and the challenges Kamala Harris faces.
“We know folks are gonna do everything they can to distort her truth. My husband and I, sadly, know a little something about this. For years, Donald Trump did everything in his power try to make people fear us,” she claimed.
“See, his limited, narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hard-working, highly-educated, successful people who happen to be black,” Michelle stated.
“Who’s gonna tell him that the job he’s currently seeking might just be one of those ‘black jobs’?” she added.
It’s important to note that Trump has used the term “black jobs” to discuss the impact of immigration on the labor market for Black Americans, not with racist intent.
Michelle criticized Trump for relying on what she sees as a repetitive strategy: “It’s his same old con. His same old con.”
“Doubling down on ugly, misogynic, racist lies as a substitute for real ideas and solutions that will actually make people’s lives better,” she stated, also taking aim at conservative viewpoints and Trump’s personal conduct.
The Obamas’ frustration with Trump has deep roots, notably due to his persistent focus on Barack Obama’s birth certificate, demanding its release.
This controversy blew up when Obama’s literary agent mistakenly claimed in the 1990s that he was born overseas.
Concluding her speech, Michelle urged her Democrat audience to prepare for a tough campaign ahead as Harris contends with Trump in the election’s final phases.
Michelle asserted, “Kamala Harris is more than ready for this moment. She is one of the most qualified people to ever seek the office of the presidency.”
“And she is one of the most dignified, a tribute to her mother, to my mother, and to your mother too. The embodiment of the stories we tell ourselves about this country,” Michelle said.
