This is very bad news for Biden.

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) had a tough time answering whether she’d support a Biden re-election in 2024 when she appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

When host Dana Bash brought up President Joe Biden saying he’d seek reelection, she asked Ocasio-Cortez if she would “support him,” AOC began answering the question before abruptly pivoting to the midterm elections.

“You know, if the president chooses to run again in 2024, I mean, first of all, I’m focused on winning this majority right now and preserving a majority this year in 2022,” Ocasio-Cortez stated.

The New York Democratic then went on to say that she’d “cross that bridge when we get to it.”

Ocasio-Cortez elaborated, saying: “I think if the president has a vision and that’s something certainly we’re all willing to entertain and examine when the time comes.”

But picking up on the lawmaker’s dodge, Bash noted, “That’s not a yes.”

In response, Ocasio-Cortez also mentioned Biden doing a “good job” but stumbled when trying to relay whether or not she’d support a Biden reelection bid.

“I believe that the president has been doing a very good job so far. And, you know, should he run again? I think that… we’ll take a look at it,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.

It’s unclear whether Ocasio-Cortez’s failure to confirm her endorsement of President Joe Biden was because of his age.
Biden’s age has been a hot topic in Democratic circles as the President will be 82 in 2024.

However, AOC may be hesitant for another reason, her progressive leanings that has caused her to endorse New York state Sen. Alessandra Biaggi, a progressive Democrat trying to unseat moderate Democratic Rep. Sean Patrick Malone.
