Should Democrats be held accountable?
After Wisconsin Family Action, a pro-life group, headquarters were vandalized and hit with a Molotov Cocktail, the group’s president Julaine Appling has called for Democratic leaders to take accountability.
Speaking on Fox News‘ “American Newsroom,” Appling argued that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is “partly responsible” for inciting these attacks because Pelosi praised the recent pro-choice demonstrations.
Appling emphasized that the vandalism the headquarters experienced on Sunday (May 8) morning, could be linked to Pelosi’s rhetoric that “heats things up” rather than “cool it down.”
She also mentioned that Democratic Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers had spread a similar message “early on.”
Appling’s remarks follow comments Pelosi made in a statement on Monday (May 9), when she lauded protestors for expressing their “righteous anger” and turning it into “meaningful action: planning to march and mobilize to make their voices heard.”
The California Democrat also criticized the GOP for their support of the potential Roe v. Wade ruling, stating that Democrats will “fight relentlessly to enshrine Roe v. Wade as the law of the land.”
