(Patriot.Buzz) – Underscoring the antisemitic nature of radical leftwingers advancing Hamas’ terrorist agenda, a group of pro-Palestinian demonstrators organized by the far-left organization The People’s Forum gathered outside the homes of Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan on Christmas morning.
Demonstrators intended to disrupt the Christmas celebrations of these high-ranking officials in the Biden administration. They chanted various slogans, including “Austin, Austin, rise and shine, no sleep during genocide!” and “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” a phrase often interpreted as a call for the eradication of Israel.
The People’s Forum is firmly opposed to Israel’s military actions, particularly in response to the Hamas-initiated terror attack on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,200 people, including 33 Americans. This group was also involved in the contentious October 8 rally in Times Square, where Israeli flags were burned, and a swastika was displayed in opposition to pro-Israel counter-protesters.
Lloyd Austin, who has visited Israel multiple times since the October 7 attack, has been a key figure in coordinating the United States’ logistical and military support for Israel. The presence of Austin or Sullivan at their homes during the protests was not confirmed.
While attempting to draw attention to the Palestinian cause, the demonstration drew criticism from various sides. The non-partisan group Stop Antisemitism highlighted the inappropriateness of targeting a four-star general and his neighborhood, stating that such actions would not advance the Palestinian cause.
Activists used a group chat to mobilize participants, emphasizing their intent to disrupt the Christmas festivities of those they deemed complicit in what they describe as genocide. They labeled these officials as war criminals in their private Telegram chat.
The protest eventually moved to the DuPont Circle neighborhood in Washington, D.C., close to Sullivan’s residence. There, similar demands for a ceasefire were voiced. The People’s Forum described Sullivan as “another war criminal.”
These alarming events underscore the ongoing tensions and differing perspectives on the Israel-Palestine conflict, as well as the complex challenges faced by U.S. officials in dealing with far-left demands to aid Hamas.
The Biden administration has been criticized from various sides for the U.S. firm support of Israel and its commitment to the destruction of Hamas.
