Radicals Shut Down Nation’s Busiest Highway

(Patriot.Buzz) – Resorting to anything in an attempt to impose their extreme agenda, anti-Israel radicals caused a major traffic jam by shutting down America’s busiest highway: Los Angeles’ 405 freeway.

They were responding to ongoing conflicts involving Israel and the terrorist group Hamas, which still holds 115 innocent hostages.

The Los Angeles Daily News detailed that a group of demonstrators advocated for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas and demanded the U.S. stop military aid to Israel.

Protesters obstructed the southbound lanes near Venice Boulevard, which effectively stalled traffic extending south from the 10 Freeway.

According to a statement from the group IfNotNow Los Angeles, which helped organize the protest, “American Jews and allies have shut down the 405 Freeway in West Los Angeles in protest of U.S. support for Israel’s assault on Gaza.”

The group added, “With one week to go before the Democratic National Convention, protesters are coalescing around three demands for all elected officials: call for a lasting ceasefire, reject the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and legislate an arms embargo.”

The demonstrators marked the occasion on Tisha B’Av, a day of mourning in the Jewish calendar, “dedicated to the mourning of dead civilians and the destruction of holy sites.”

IfNotNow Los Angeles has previously shown support for controversial figures and causes.

It has previously conducted the Kaddish, the Jewish prayer for the dead, for Palestinians—predominantly Hamas members—killed by Israeli forces in 2018.

The group has also expressed support for anti-Israel politicians like Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who is backed by Kamala Harris’s running mate, Gov. Tim Walz.

The protest ended in nine arrests as the California Highway Patrol stepped in to reopen the freeway.
