Following the revelation that former President Donald Trump had a meeting with white supremacist Nick Fuentes and controversial rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie condemned the actions.

According to reports by Axios published on Friday and confirmed in social media posts by Trump and West, the former President met with the controversial rapper and Fuentes at his Palm Beach home.

Fuentes is a live-streamer who has denied the holocaust and spewed — along with West — antisemitic rhetoric.

In a Truth Social post following the meeting going public, Trump confirmed that he had met with West and Fuentes, but only by request from West, noting that Fuentes was an uninvited guest who West insisted on the former President meeting.

But the meeting alone was enough for Christie to lambast Trump, calling him an attention-seeker and pointing to the meeting as “another example of an awful lack of judgment” Trump had that was proof he shouldn’t be the GOP’s 2024 nominee.

Christie made his comments to The New York Times, stating that Trump couldn’t “stand not having attention all the time” and that merely having Fuentes show up at Mar-a-Lago and want to dine with him was enough to feed that desire.

The former New Jersey Governor explained that even though Trump didn’t know who Fuentes was at the time of the meeting, his presence still “feeds the hunger” for attention Trump misses since losing the Presidency.

Since the midterms, Christie has increased his attacks on Trump, blaming the former President for the GOP’s poor midterm performance.
