The American people should worry about this.
Discussing the mismanagement of the economy by Democrats, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan said that through the Build Back Better plan Democrats could take the economy even further in the wrong direction.
Speaking to Larry Kudlow on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Jordan had some strong criticism for the Biden administration, stating, “you name the policy, they’ve screwed it up,” before adding that he hoped Build Back Better would never pass.
The Ohio Republican then mentioned that the “hinting” coming from the likes of Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass) of price control would “only exacerbate the problems” Americans experienced, causing them to grow.
In a letter to the heads of Albertson’s, Kroger, and Publix last week, Warren accused the nation’s grocers of “taking advantage of inflation,” saying that these grocers were “passing costs on to customers” in an effort to maintain “pandemic gains.”
However, Jordan seemingly disagreed with the sentiment, saying that Americans wanted “safe streets, affordable gas,” and freedom. He then highlighted how the Biden administration had fallen short on all accounts, saying that what Biden was giving the American people “is record crime, record inflation, and Dr. Fauci.” He then added that in regards to policy, the Biden administration had “done everything wrong in eleven months.”
Jordan explained his statements by discussing the juxtaposition between Trump’s tenure and Biden’s tenure, saying the U.S. “went from a secure border to complete chaos… from stable prices to record inflation and projecting strength around the world to the debacle in Afghanistan.”
Discussing his views on comments made by Bette Midler, in which she said that Senator Manchin (D-W.Va.) wanted everyone “to be like the state of West Virginia, poor and illiterate and strung out,” Jordan criticized the attitude of the “elite,” saying they thought they were “better than us regular folk.”
He then added that this attitude by Midler was a common “double standard” among the “so-called elites.” He highlighted, as examples, California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
According to Jordan, Newsom went to a restaurant while he told “everyone that they couldn’t have Thanksgiving with their families,” whereas Pelosi “was going to the salon” although she was telling “everyone else to close their salons and businesses and barbershops.”
During the show, Jordan also declared that the Democrats had the U.S. on an “accelerated march to communism,” before adding that people were figuring this out and would put an end to “the craziness.”
