What is Biden going to do?
In an appearance on “Fox & Friends” on Friday (June 10), Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX.) revealed the DHS had plans to drop off busloads of migrants in San Angelo, a city located in his district.
Pfluger queried why migrants are being taken to such communities instead of “sanctuary cities,” also calling out Biden for mismanaging the southern border crisis as a caravan of migrants head to the U.S.
Talking to host Brian Kilmeade, Pfluger noted the response from some Border Patrol agencies, who’ve revealed the “system is completely overwhelmed,” which extends from the “official system” to NGOs.
He continued, “We know that there are more caravans, so-called caravans on the way. And it’s just a continuing crisis, and no community deserves to have this happen.”
According to reports by Fox News, the leader of the caravan Luis Villigran, revealed that Mexican officials had told him that 1,000 temporary work visas would be issued a day to migrants in the 12,000-strong caravan.
Pfluger went on to state, “I don’t think there’s anything in any discussion that can happen until the President and the secretary of DHS get a handle on the flow through their policy and make it clear that it’s not okay to break the rule of law, that we have a legal process.”
The Texas Republican then expressed concern regarding where migrants would go when they get to San Angelo, highlighting “The crime rates, the drugs, the trafficking,” before contending that the situation is “completely unacceptable.”
Pfluger also noted that communities like those in his district were being left with an “immense amount of burden” because of the Biden administration’s border policies.
