On Friday (January 13), during an appearance on Newsmax, Republican Rep. James Comer (Ky.) expressed his belief that the nation cannot entrust President Joe Biden with its secrets.
Comer said his belief Biden couldn’t be trusted with the nation’s secrets didn’t only stem from the recent revelation that classified Biden’s Lawyers found documents from Biden’s time as Vice President in his home and private office but because the Biden family is compromised.
Speaking on “The Chris Salcedo Show,” Comer, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, asserted he would have said not to trust Biden with the nation’s secrets “long before this document scandal.”
Comer added, “His family is compromised.”
The House Oversight Committee had already kickstarted an investigation into the alleged influence peddling by the Biden family when the 118th Congress officially commenced on January 7.
But the discovery of classified documents in two locations gives House Republicans additional ammunition to go after Biden.
Classified documents were initially found at an office Biden had while he worked as an honorary professor at the University of Pennsylvania in Washington, D.C.
Biden’s lawyers made the discovery on November 2, 2022, six days before the midterm elections.
Biden’s Washington, D.C. office at the University of Pennsylvania was located in the Penn Biden Center.
According to the New York Post, the University received donations from China from 2014 to 2019, totaling $54.6 million. Anonymous donations from China began shortly after Penn University announced it would be creating the Biden Center.
A second batch was discovered on December 20, 2022, at Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, residence’s garage.
