This is insane!

According to reports by Fox News, Two U.S. Secret Service agents in South Korea, who were sent to the country ahead of the President’s arrival, have returned to the U.S. after being involved in a drunken off-duty incident.

The two agents, who remain unnamed, are returning to Washington, D.C., where a source familiar with the situation reveals they will face disciplinary action.

It has also been reported that the agents were not assigned to the presidential detail but were in South Korea for logistical reasons ahead of Biden’s trip.

According to reports, the two agents became intoxicated while they were
off-duty before one of the agents got into an altercation with a cab driver.

Before criminal charges are pursued, it is part of the protocol in South Korea that mediators are sent to the scene of low-level disputes to determine if criminal charges need to be filed.
Ultimately no charges were filed after one of the agents was interviewed.

Acknowledging the incident, USSS chief spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said, according to Fox News, “The Secret Service is aware of an off-duty incident involving two employees which may constitute potential policy violations.”

But indicated that “Given this is an active administrative personnel matter,” he could not “comment further.”

Guglielmi also assured that the incident had “no impact” on Biden’s travels.
