Following former President Donald Trump’s revelation that he may be arrested on Tuesday (March 21), Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA.) asserted the GOP didn’t need to march, as Democrats had already sealed their fate.

Taking to her Twitter account several times on Saturday (March 18), Greene shared her opinion on Trump’s Truth Social post that illegal leaks from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office suggested he would be arrested on Tuesday.

In her first tweet on Saturday morning, the Georgia Republican slammed the Department of Justice and the Manhattan DA, suggesting the possible arrest is “ALL FOR POLITICS!”

In her tweet, Greene explained that making such a high-profile arrest “is what they do in communist(s) countries to destroy their political opponents!”

Greene continued by calling on “Republicans in Congress” to “subpoena these communists” and end the saga.

Greene added that Republicans had both the power to subpoena and the power to “DEFUND their salaries and departments!”

Hours later, seemingly responding to Trump’s call for supporters to protest to “take our nation back,” Greene tweeted again, explaining that a protest against “communist Democrats” and “political weaponization” wasn’t necessary.

Greene continued that Democrats “are sealing their own fate in 2024 because the silent majority” only had “two feelings” about them, saying they only felt “fear and anger,” noting those feelings were most important leading up to a reelection.

Greene wasn’t the only prominent figure to suggest Trump would be reelected if he was indicted. Elon Musk, Twitter CEO, also commented that if the former President was indicted “[he] will be reelected in a landslide victory.”
