On Tuesday (May 30), former President Donald Trump lashed out at his former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, accusing her of purposefully providing “wrong” polling figures when she appeared on Fox News.

“Kayleigh ‘Milktoast’ McEnany just gave the wrong poll numbers on FoxNews,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

He explained that he was 34 points ahead of DeSantis, not 25 points.

Although he acknowledged that a 25-point lead is “great,” it wasn’t 34.

Trump also claimed McEnany “knew the number [she quoted] was corrected upwards” by the group that conducted the poll.

He added that “RINOS and Globalists can have [McEnany],” while imploring Fox News to “use REAL stars!!!”

McEnany, now co-host of Fox News’s “Outnumbered,” appeared on “Jesse Waters Primetime” Tuesday night and told host Jesse Watters that polls in Iowa showed that DeSantis was “closing the gap” over the former President after the Florida governor officially announced his bid into the 2024 Republican presidential primary last week.

Although neither Trump nor McEnany gave insight into the poll they were referencing, a recent Emerson College poll found the former President leading DeSantis by 42 points among Iowa voters.

DeSantis has been trying to raise his profile in the state, as he rallied supporters outside Des Moines on Tuesday, kickstarting a four-day campaign tour through Iowa, South Carolina, and New Hampshire.

Trump is expected to arrive in the Hawkeye State later this week.

McEnany’s remark on Tuesday wasn’t the first time the one-time Trump staffer angered her former boss; in November, after the GOP’s Dismal performance in the midterms, McEnany urged Trump to delay his 2024 Presidential announcement.
