See the survey below.

This poll surge marks a significant increase of 7 points since November and a substantial rise of 26 points since February. In contrast, all of Trump’s rivals combined garner less than one-third of the GOP primary vote.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis follows Trump with 12% support, a slight decrease since November, while Nikki Haley obtains 9%, Vivek Ramaswamy 5%, Chris Christie 2%, and Asa Hutchinson 1%. When considering a second-choice candidate among Trump supporters, DeSantis leads with 50%, followed by Ramaswamy at 20%, and Haley at 14%.

When third-party candidates are included in the poll, Trump maintains a 4-point lead over Biden, with Biden receiving 37% and Trump 41%. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. secures 14%, Jill Stein 3%, and Cornel West 2%.

Among all voters, Biden’s personal favorability stands at 41%, with a 58% unfavorable rating, putting him 17 points in the negative. Trump fares slightly better but is still underwater by 10 points (45%-55%). Other Republican contenders like Christie, Ramaswamy, DeSantis, and Haley have even lower favorability ratings.

In the Republican primary, Trump’s support remains robust, with 85% of Republicans viewing him positively, far surpassing DeSantis, Haley, Ramaswamy, and Christie. For Democrats, Biden has a favorable rating of 79%.

The poll also touches on the impeachment inquiry into Biden opened by Congressional Republicans. While opinions are divided, 49% view the impeachment as legitimate, while 48% oppose it.

Regarding Hunter Biden’s legal issues, a majority of Republicans believe Biden acted illegally, while most Democrats think the president did nothing wrong. Independents are split, with a third believing Biden broke the law.

Biden’s approval rating currently stands at 43%, with 57% disapproving of his overall job performance. Among 2020 Trump voters, a majority still back him in the GOP primary, but 12% now support DeSantis and 8% Haley.

The survey, conducted in early-to-mid December 2023, involved 1,007 registered voters nationwide and has a margin of error of plus or minus three percentage points for all registered voters.
