(Patriot.Buzz) – Fulfilling a campaign promise, President Donald Trump will unveil 80,000 pages of the 1963 JFK assassination investigation today, certain to spark new debates over history that has been shrouded in conspiracy.
The unveiling scheduled for today will contain completely unredacted documents, bringing Americans one step closer to uncovering the truth behind one of the nation’s most controversial historical events.
Trump emphasized that the release would occur the following day and that none of the files would be redacted, allowing Americans full access to information that has been withheld for decades.
“People have been waiting decades for this,” Trump said while making the announcement. “I said during the campaign that I’d do it, and I’m a man of my word.”
This release marks a significant victory for transparency advocates and conspiracy theorists alike who have long questioned the official narrative surrounding Kennedy’s assassination.
The FBI reportedly discovered roughly 2,400 previously unrecognized records related to the assassination during a search prompted by Trump’s executive action. These documents have already been transferred to the National Archives for declassification.
During his first week back in office, Trump signed an executive order mandating the declassification of files related not only to JFK’s assassination but also to the deaths of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.
The order required a comprehensive plan for the full release of JFK assassination records within just 15 days—a deadline that the administration has clearly met.
Trump has instructed Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard to oversee the release of these critical historical documents, signaling the importance his administration places on this matter.
This action starkly contrasts former President Biden’s approach, who repeatedly extended the review period for these records in 2021, 2022, and 2023, keeping Americans in the dark.
Moreover, the release builds upon Trump’s earlier efforts during his first term when he released nearly 2,900 records in 2017.
At that time, some documents were withheld due to national security concerns raised by the CIA and FBI.
Now, Trump appears determined to provide the American people with complete access to all remaining files.
The President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992 originally mandated the collection and public release of assassination-related material, with a deadline of October 26, 2017.
Although the National Archives has made more than 97% of these records available over the past three decades, these final 80,000 pages may contain critical information that could reshape this pivotal moment in American history.
Kennedy’s assassination on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, has been surrounded by controversy and conspiracy theories for generations.
The official Warren Commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, but many Americans remain skeptical of this explanation.
Trump commented that the contents of these files would be “very interesting” and encouraged the public to review them and make their own determinations.
Ultimately, the release represents not just a fulfillment of a campaign promise but also a significant step toward government accountability and historical clarity that patriotic Americans have long demanded.
