On Friday (October 21), former President Donald Trump spoke to Brian Kilmeade, host of Fox News’ “Brian Kilmeade Show,” about the possibility he would pursue a Presidential bid in 2024.

Trump spoke about potential challengers, primarily how he’d run against a slew of rumored candidates, including former Vice President Mike Pence, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

During the call into the show, Trump revealed he’d decide whether or not he would seek reelection in 2024 “in the not-too-distant future.”

Explaining why he wasn’t concerned about potential challengers, Trump pointed to his polling figures among Republicans, saying, “The polls have me leading by 40, 50 points.”

Instead, Trump expressed doubts any of his challengers would pursue the White House if he was in the race.

“Many of them have said they would never run if I run. So we’ll see whether or not that turns out to be true. I think it would be very disloyal if they did. But that’s okay, too,” Trump stated before adding, “I’ll probably decide in the not-too-distant future. We have to make this country great again.”

The former President also touted his accomplishments in Office while taking a swipe at President Joe Biden’s failures.

“We had energy independence. We were respected all over the world. We had low taxes, we had no inflation, we had the strongest border in history, we had all these things,” Trump explained.

“It was so beautiful. And now look at our country. Our country is a failed country. We’re really a nation in decline.”

The former President also claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin would not have invaded Ukraine because Putin “respected” him.
