Is Trump Jr. right?
Appearing on Newsmax, Donald Trump Jr. was enraged by America’s foreign policy, which he said enriched the world and then forced American taxpayers to fund the country’s defense against those it helped enrich.
On Wednesday, Trump Jr. appeared on Eric Bolling: The Balance expressing his views on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline – in particular, President Biden waiving sanctions that would have delayed the completion of the pipeline and prevented Europe from being heavily reliant on Russia for gas.
When discussing the pipeline, Trump Jr. expressed his disapproval of the Biden administration’s lax approach to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. He said that by giving Russia the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, the U.S. was essentially helping Russia “make billions of dollars,” something Trump Jr. pointed out his father’s administration prevented from happening during his term.
The businessman and political activist said his concern stemmed from the fact that the American people would foot the bill for Europe’s reliance on gas from Russia, as America would have to intervene in any conflict between Russia and Europe. Discussing the pipeline, he said. “that’s going to give Vladimir Putin billions that he can then spend on the military to weaponize against us.”
Donald Trump Jr. also expressed his disdain for Biden canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline in America, which had been forecasted to make energy more affordable in the country. He drew comparisons between the Biden administration allowing Russia to go ahead with the Nord Stream 2 Pipeline but preventing a similar pipeline from taking effect in the U.S.
He mentioned how the “media will utilize their propaganda to sway the narrative,” saying they would not cancel fracking but do the opposite. Back in February, one of President Biden’s first executive orders revoked the permit for the Keystone XL oil pipeline, subsequently putting workers on the project out of a job.
While on the show Trump Jr. also addressed the liberal’s double standards, saying, “If liberals didn’t have double standards, they have no standards at all.” Because while they would allow Russia to go ahead with fracking, they blocked the same taking place in the U.S. to benefit the American people.
