On Wednesday (May 17), former President Donald Trump lashed out at former Attorney General Bill Barr in a post on Truth Social that followed the release of the Durham Report earlier in the week.

Trump expressed his wishes that Barr, “as the Attorney General of the United States,” was unable able to act, suggesting the former AG didn’t because “he was afraid of the Radical Left Democrat Lunatics” and this group’s “constant threats” that they would impeach Barr.

The former President described Barr, who served as the Attorney General in Trump’s administration for almost two years, as being “absolutely impotent” regarding the subject of the Durham Report,” suggesting the former U.S. Attorney General “should have taken strong action.”

Trump then pivoted to criticism about the 2020 Presidential election, adding that “even more importantly Barr hadn’t acted on “the massive voter fraud” in the election Trump lost to Biden, telling his followers to expect “NOTHING from RINOS,” and claimed it was his “honor to have fired [Barr]!”

In a report released Monday (May 15), U.S. special counsel John Durham concluded that the FBI lacked “actual evidence” to conduct a probe on Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, claiming the agency was far too dependent on tips they received from Trump’s political rivals to further their investigation.

The 300-page report by Durham detailed how the Department of Justice and FBI used “raw, unanalyzed and uncorroborated intelligence,” to launch a fully-fledged probe into allegations of Russian collusion in the 2016 elections, using “confirmation bias” to explain away evidence that undercut their belief of Russia-Trump collusion.
