(Patriot.Buzz) – Hollywood snob and elitist Eva Longoria decided to leave the United States, labeling it “dystopian” and citing President-elect Donald Trump’s presidency as a reason for her departure.
Longoria has now opted for a life split between Mexico and Spain. This decision comes in the wake of what she perceives as intolerable changes in the U.S., including issues like homelessness and taxes.
“I had my whole adult life here,” Longoria stated. “But even before [the pandemic], it was changing.”
She added, “The vibe was different. And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or the taxes, not that I want to shit on California — it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now.”
Moreover, the actress’ departure appears to be heavily influenced by her political leanings. As a vocal Democrat, she expressed disbelief and dismay at Trump’s 2016 election victory.
“The shocking part is not that he won,” Longoria remarked, displaying her partisan bias. “It’s that a convicted criminal who spews so much hate could hold the highest office.”
Meanwhile, the actress’s departure comes at a time when many American families are struggling with inflation, job insecurity, and other economic challenges.
Instead of using her platform and resources to address these issues, Longoria has chosen to retreat to the comfort of foreign shores.
“I get to escape and go somewhere,” Longoria admitted. “Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”
While the former “Desperate Housewives” star expressed concern for those left behind, her actions paint a different picture.
By labeling the United States as “dystopian” and fleeing to other countries, she undermined the country that provided her with opportunities for success and wealth.
As Longoria enjoys her self-imposed exile, millions of hardworking Americans continue to believe in and fight for the American dream.
It may be time for Hollywood elites like Longoria to remember the values that made America great instead of abandoning ship at the first sign of challenges they disagree with.
