Chaos erupted when an active shooter was stopped dead after launching an attack during a church service at Crosspointe Community Church, wounding one person.

Watch the video below this post.

The swift action likely prevented what could have been a devastating mass casualty event at the house of worship.

The harrowing incident unfolded over the weekend when a 31-year-old male suspect began shooting in the church parking lot.

Approximately 150 worshippers were attending the service when gunfire erupted, sending people scrambling for cover.

Video livestream from inside the church captured the terrifying moments as congregation members, including children, ran to safety.

In a remarkable sequence of events, a churchgoer reportedly used their truck to run over the shooter before the security guard, who had been wounded in the leg during the attack, exited the church and fatally shot the suspect.

The Wayne Police Department is actively investigating the incident and has asked the public to avoid the area while they process the scene.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed federal involvement in the investigation, stating, “Our leadership and support teams are on the ground, at the scene, in Wayne, Michigan providing assistance and investigative support.”

Crosspointe Community Church is located about 30 miles west of Detroit in Wayne, a suburban community with approximately 17,000 residents.

The church’s pastor, Bobby Kelly Jr., confirmed to local media that around 150 people were in attendance when the shooting began.

Miraculously, despite the gunfire, only one person was reported wounded, thanks to the quick action of the armed security guard.

This incident highlights the critical importance of church security in an era when houses of worship have increasingly become targets for violence.

The presence of trained, armed security personnel likely prevented what could have been a much more tragic outcome.

This proves that the Second Amendment remains the most vital protection against those who wish to do harm to innocent Americans.

Authorities have scheduled a press conference for 5 p.m. to provide additional details about the shooting.

At this time, information about the shooter’s identity and possible motives has not been released to the public.

The investigation remains ongoing, with both local and federal law enforcement agencies involved in piecing together the events that led to this attempted attack on worshippers.

While the mainstream media often ignores defensive gun uses, this brave security guard’s actions demonstrate how an armed citizen can be the only thing standing between innocent people and a would-be mass killer.

As attacks on religious freedom and Christian communities continue to rise, properly secured churches with trained personnel remain the best defense against evil.
