BREAKING: Far-Left ‘Squad’ Member Under Investigation

(Patriot.Buzz) – Revealing her far-left agenda to be an attempt to conceal fraudulent schemes benefitting herself, the Department of Justice (DOJ) is conducting a criminal investigation on Democratic Missouri Representative Cori Bush.

Rep. Bush is known for her stance on defunding the police. The probe revolves around the misuse of federal funds for private security. She has reportedly spent taxpayer money on personal security services.

Punchbowl News disclosed that the DOJ requested records from the House Sergeant at Arms. These records are related to the potential misappropriation of federal security funds.

In an April 2023 report, The Daily Caller revealed that Bush, along with members of a far-left group in Congress known as “the Squad,” used thousands of dollars from their campaign funds for private security.

According to official records from the Statement of Disbursements of the House, Bush used taxpayer money for a day of private security in the first quarter of the year. Notably, as a new member of Congress, Bush has been vocal about reducing funding for the police.

Her financial report from April 2021 shows that she spent over $30,000 on security for herself. This includes various payments to security companies and individuals in different states. The expenses range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars.

In December 2020, Bush criticized former President Barack Obama on X, formerly known as Twitter, for not supporting the defund the police movement. Her post focused on the loss of lives due to police violence, claiming that defunding the police is necessary to save lives, not just a slogan.

Following reports about the DOJ’s investigation into her spending, Bush’s office released a statement. In it, she alleges a commitment to integrity and transparency. She confirmed that the DOJ is reviewing her campaign’s spending on security services and said she was reportedly cooperating with the investigation.

Additionally, Bush stated that she has not used federal tax dollars for personal security and refuted claims of misusing campaign funds for this purpose. She discussed apparent threats to her safety before taking office and revealed hiring her husband as part of her security team.

She also took the opportunity to blame conservatives for her troubles, saying, ”In recent months, right-wing organizations have lodged baseless complaints against me, peddling notions that I have misused campaign funds to pay for personal security services.”
