BREAKING: IMPEACHED! (Video)

(Patriot.Buzz) – In a bombshell development seeking accountability for the alarming migrant crisis America is currently facing, the Republican-led House of Representatives impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Watch the video below.

The resolution garnered a narrow passage of 214 to 213 votes and marked a historic decision not seen for nearly a century and a half, which makes Mayorkas the first cabinet member to face impeachment in such an extended period.

Notably, Representatives Tom McClintock (R-CA), Ken Buck (R-CO) and Mike Gallagher (R-WI) broke party lines to oppose the motion and echo their previous stance from last week’s failed efforts.

Mayorkas narrowly escaped the prior impeachment proposition for being at the helm during a period characterized by unprecedented illegal immigration figures since he took office in 2021.

Although House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) was absent during the previous week due to cancer treatment, he made a timely return to boost the Republican ranks in their successful impeachment endeavor against the DHS secretary.

The impeachment initiative was propelled by two articles accusing Mayorkas of a deliberate and widespread refusal to uphold legal mandates and constituting a profound betrayal of public trust.

The accusations pinpoint Mayorkas’ responsibility for the Biden administration’s catch-and-release strategy regarding illegal immigrants and for lying to Congress over the security status of the southern border.

These impeachment charges now advance to the Democratic-run Senate for further deliberation.

In the backdrop of these events, the Biden administration has shifted the blame by saying Congress should rectify the immigration system and enhance resources at the southern frontier amid a significant escalation in immigration.

Nonetheless, such efforts failed following the Senate’s rejection of a border deal that paired border security with international aid, which prompted the Senate to approve a $95 billion foreign aid package without any border provisions.

In the wake of the impeachment vote, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) stated Mayorkas’s impeachment was warranted and criticized his systematic non-compliance with federal immigration laws since assuming office.
