(Patriot.Buzz) – In the wake of a horrific mass shooting in Kansas City’s renowned Westport neighborhood, five people, including a teenager, find themselves in critical condition.

The shooting occurred at W. 40th Street and Westport Road, in the 300 block of Westport Road, east of Broadway Boulevard.
Three victims were found at the scene with critical injuries, while two others later arrived at a hospital with serious injuries. All five victims – four adult men and one teenage male – are now reported to be in stable condition.
This incident highlighted the ongoing crisis of gun violence in urban centers, where criminals feel emboldened to carry out such attacks with impunity.
It is a clear indication that current policies are failing to keep our communities safe and that a tougher stance on crime is desperately needed.
The shooting took place outside near a Hookah Lounge, though there was no indication the establishment was involved.
Meanwhile, police were seeking a warrant to investigate a second-story space in the building for potential additional shots fired, raising questions about the thoroughness of initial crime scene assessments.
No suspects are in custody, and no information about the suspects has been released. While police claim there are no additional threats to the area, dangerous criminals are still at large.
Moreover, the public is being urged to come forward with any information that could lead to the arrest of those responsible.
