(Patriot.Buzz) – In a testament to the frightening threats America is currently facing, a group of former FBI officials has raised alarms over the Biden administration’s border policies for putting the United States at significant risk.
Ten former high-ranking FBI officials expressed their grave concerns in a strongly worded letter addressed to congressional leaders. They stated that the country is being “invaded” by “military-aged men from around the globe,” which presents an “imminent danger” to national security.
Those signing the letter included Timothy Healy, former Director of the Terrorist Screening Center, former assistant directors Kevin Brock and Chris Swecker, and Mark Morgan, an ex-FBI superintendent who served as the acting commissioner of US Customs and Border Protection.
These officials describe the current migrant crisis as “the most pernicious ever to menace the United States.” The letter highlights that the U.S. is facing a form of invasion for the first time in its modern history.
They point out that thousands of young men from hostile regions are entering the country. They are doing so through unconventional means, like simply walking across borders that are perceived globally as unprotected and easily accessible.
They argue that the situation has become more urgent following the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel. The officials emphasize the risk of these young men potentially launching attacks within the U.S., similar to the Hamas surprise strike, possibly under the influence of foreign terror groups.
Recent Customs and Border Protection statistics underline the letter’s urgency. The data shows that over 302,000 migrants crossed the southern U.S. border with Mexico in December alone. This happened during a record year with around 2.4 million migrant encounters.
Republican leaders have responded strongly to this letter. Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY) stated that the letter clearly shows the Biden administration’s failure in border management. She highlights this as a threat to national security and the country’s sovereignty.
Rep. Darrell Issa (CA) criticized Biden for undermining the nation’s immigration and asylum laws. He said that Biden’s policies have made it easier to smuggle fentanyl, a drug responsible for massive American deaths annually.
Moreover, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (NY) criticized the lax vetting process in immigration policy. She emphasized the alarming practice of allowing people without proper identification to board airplanes.
