GOP Sues Over ‘Impossibly High’ Voter Registration

(Patriot.Buzz) – Highlighting Democrats’ unashamed efforts to bloat their numbers ahead of this year’s key elections, the Republican National Committee (RNC) started legal action against Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguliar for maintaining “impossibly high” voter registration rolls in the state.

This lawsuit says Nevada is not sticking to the National Voter Registration Act’s (NVRA) mandate for accurate and current voter registration records.

According to the filed complaint, the RNC’s analysis reveals that five out of Nevada’s 17 counties display ballooned voter rolls, which violate the NVRA.

RNC Co-Chair Michael Whatley emphasized in a statement the importance of precise voter rolls for election integrity, especially given Nevada’s policies of universal mail voting and the absence of voter ID requirements.

He stressed it was critical that Nevada’s voter rolls remained accurate to enable a secure voting process.

“At least three Nevada counties have more registered voters than they have adult citizens who are over the age of 18. That number of voters is impossibly high,” reads the suit.

It further highlights that voter registration rates in two Nevada counties significantly tops both national and state averages, which does not match realistic voter engagement levels.

This legal move follows a similar lawsuit the RNC filed against Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson over the state’s inflated voter rolls and for failing to meet NVRA standards.

As of its last update, the RNC has been actively involved in election integrity lawsuits across various states, with 79 lawsuits filed in 23 states for the 2024 election cycle.

Despite the presence of laws in key battleground states that have previously drawn Republican criticism, the RNC, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) are engaging in a thorough election integrity initiative.

This move includes the use of ballot drop-boxes and no-excuse absentee voting in several battleground states, with extended early voting periods and absentee ballot mailing well before election day.

Explaining these election integrity efforts the newly elected RNC Co-chair Laura Trump announced a partnership with well-known conservative activist Scott Presler to focus on legal ballot collection strategies to take advantage of these tactics as Democrats do.
