(Patriot.Buzz) – While Americans in North Carolina struggle to recover from the devastating Hurricane Helene, Kamala Harris once again demonstrated her administration’s misplaced priorities by allocating a staggering $157 million in aid to Lebanon.
Seemingly oblivious to her fellow citizens’ plight, Harris announced the generous aid package for Lebanon, citing concerns about the “increasingly dire humanitarian situation” in the Middle Eastern nation.
This comes as North Carolinians grapple with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which has claimed at least 227 lives and left countless others homeless and in desperate need of assistance.
“The people of Lebanon are facing an increasingly dire humanitarian situation. I am concerned about the security and well-being of civilians suffering in Lebanon and will continue working to help meet the needs of all civilians there,” Harris said.
Her decision to prioritize foreign aid over domestic disaster relief has not gone unnoticed by prominent conservative figures.
In this case, actor James Woods took to social media to express his disbelief, stating:
“This has to be fake. Even Kamala Harris, the gold standard of stupid, isn’t stupid enough to post this. Certainly not while North Carolinians are pulling the bodies of their neighbors from the wreckage. It’s simply inconceivable.”
Moreover, the Biden-Harris administration’s mishandling of the Hurricane Helene response has drawn sharp criticism from GOP candidate Donald Trump, who rightly called the federal response “incompetent.”
This latest misstep by Harris only serves to underscore the administration’s failure to prioritize the needs of American citizens.
While Harris touts her $157 million handout to Lebanon, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has designated a mere $47 million in disaster assistance for Hurricane Helene’s impact.
This glaring disparity has not gone unnoticed by Republican leaders, who are demanding accountability and a renewed focus on America First policies.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott posted on X, “Kamala is touting giving money to the people of Lebanon-while stiff-arming the humanitarian crisis in North Carolina. This is Kamala’s Katrina.”
As if to add insult to injury, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has announced that Congress will not be called out of recess to address emergency funding for Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.
This decision leaves affected states in limbo, forced to rely on limited FEMA resources that are already stretched thin.
The Biden-Harris administration’s repeated failures to prioritize American interests and safety have become a rallying cry for conservatives across the nation.
As the 2024 election looms, it is clear that the American people deserve leadership that prioritizes their needs rather than foreign interests halfway around the world.
