(Patriot.Buzz) – President Trump unleashed “overwhelming lethal force” against Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, launching strategic airstrikes in response to threats against commercial shipping in vital corridors.
The targeted operation successfully eliminated multiple Houthi leaders who had been attacking American vessels and allies.
Trump’s bold military action demonstrates his America-first approach to protecting U.S. interests and standing firm against Iranian proxies threatening global commerce.
The precision strikes hit Houthi strongholds in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa and the northwestern region of Saada, sending a clear message that America will not tolerate threats to international shipping.
The Houthis, armed and funded by Iran, have conducted a campaign of maritime terrorism since November 2023, attacking over 100 merchant vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.
Trump directly warned the terrorists of severe consequences if they continued their aggression.
“HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE,” the President declared.
The President’s decisive action follows months of escalating Houthi attacks that have severely disrupted global trade.
Major shipping companies have been forced to reroute vessels around southern Africa, adding thousands of miles and significant costs to international commerce.
The attacks have sunk two vessels and resulted in the seizure of another, directly impacting the American economy through higher shipping costs and potential supply chain disruptions.
“Our brave Warfighters are right now carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorists’ bases, leaders, and missile defenses to protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore Navigational Freedom,” Trump said in a social media post.
“No terrorist force will stop American commercial and naval vessels from freely sailing the Waterways of the World,” he added.
The USS Harry S. Truman carrier strike group participated in the mission, demonstrating America’s overwhelming military superiority.
National Security Adviser Michael Waltz confirmed the effectiveness of the operation, stating that the strikes successfully targeted multiple Houthi leaders.
The U.S. has indicated that military operations will continue until the threat is neutralized, showing Trump’s commitment to seeing the mission through rather than employing half-measures.
While the Houthi-run health ministry claimed 31 deaths and 101 injuries from the strikes, the terrorist group has a documented history of exaggerating civilian casualties for propaganda purposes.
The Houthis, who control northwest Yemen but are not the internationally recognized government, have attempted to justify their maritime terrorism by claiming solidarity with Palestinians in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
President Donald Trump said he ordered a series of airstrikes on the Houthi-held areas in Yemen on Saturday, promising to use “overwhelming lethal force” until the Iran-backed rebels cease their attacks on shipping along a vital maritime corridor. https://t.co/aie1o08xsZ

The timing of the strikes is significant, coming shortly after the past administration’s attempted appeasement of Iran through offers to discuss its nuclear program.
Trump’s decisive military action stands in stark contrast to the previous administration’s weak approach toward Iran and its proxies, which emboldened rather than deterred aggression.
Iran’s Foreign Minister predictably criticized the U.S. action, highlighting the regime’s support for terrorism throughout the Middle East.
Trump’s message to Tehran was unambiguous: stop backing terrorist groups or face severe consequences.
Ultimately, this renewed pressure on Iran demonstrates Trump’s commitment to countering the Islamic Republic’s destabilizing activities across the region.
