(Patriot.Buzz) – Using her nationwide platform to spew lies championed by the extreme left, a “The View” co-host blamed climate change for a series of different natural incidents.
On a recent episode of the show, co-host Sunny Hostin claimed climate change was the reason behind a series of natural events, including the much-discussed solar eclipse, Friday’s earthquake and a looming cicada breeding season.
She remarked, “All those things together would maybe lead one to believe that either climate change exists or something is really going on.” She said the merge of these phenomena was a possible indicator of environmental problems.
Both the 4.8-magnitude earthquake felt across New York and New Jersey and the eagerly awaited solar eclipse provided clear moments of concern and wonder for many.
Talking about her team’s reaction, Hostin shared that her makeup artist “put on her coat,” “ran down the hallway” in the middle of the earthquake and shouted “Jesus is coming” and “The rapture is here.”
However, her co-hosts, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, challenged the connection between these events and climate change.
Behar clarified that earthquakes are geological events that are not influenced by climate patterns, while Goldberg noted that solar eclipses can be predicted and occur naturally.
Hostin mentioned the looming unique cicada event where two broods emerge together for the first time in a century, but Goldberg quickly shot her down by noting that such occurrences happen every 17 years.
Amid the discussion, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin turned the talk political mocking the Republican presidential nominee. “I read online that the earthquake epicenter was actually at Bedminster in New Jersey … Fun fact. So, it originated with Trump,” she said.
Similar theories, like that proposed by New Jersey Green Party member and Senate candidate Christina Amira Khalil, have also sparked scrutiny and skepticism.
Khalil’s claims, which connected the recent earthquake to climate change, caused social media backlash and discussions on whether her arguments were valid and relied on scientific phenomena.
